Hello everyone.
This time, I would like to talk about Merry Christmas and New Year, and what will we do.
First, Christmas or Christmas Day (Christmas, meaning "Christ's Mass") is an annual festival commemorating
the birth of Jesus Christ, observed most commonly on December 25 as a religious and cultural celebration among billions of people around the world.
When it comes to December, in the city decorated with lights and we decorate the Christmas tree at home.
In the Christian area, they mainly eat dinner together spent with their family and put the presents under the Christmas tree (fir tree).
It is general. But in Japan, rather than spending with family, often to celebrate Christmas with lovers and friends.
Next, New Year is the time at which a new calendar year begins and the calendar's year count increments by one.
Many cultures celebrate the event in some manner.
The night of December 31, we will countdown to welcome the New Year with my family.
And we eat soba noodles called “toshikoshi soba” (year-crossing soba) to wish for a long lasting life.
In the New Year, we will eat “osechi” and “ozouni”.
And many people go to shrines to make wishes for the coming year. This event is called “hatsumoude”.
This year's winter vacation I will be a part-time job.
