I saw the video “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” it is very funny video.
I don’t know this video’s content well.
For me, what does mean “Christmas”? It means it is very exciting for children and the food is very great.
Because, in Christmas day is for children giving a present by Santa Claus, and for people can eat fried chicken (especially KFC) and Christmas cake and drink champagne, wine and so on.
The difference of Christmas Japan and America, in Japan we spend 24th or 25th, and we eat fried chicken (KFC) and Christmas cake and so on.
In America, they light up illumination in the latter November. And, in 24th and 25th hold party.
In 24th, they invite some relatives and friends, and exchanging present.
In 25th, they hold a grand party to midnight.
I think that it is very different and very surprised.
For me, I go to karaoke and go to somewhere (driving) with my friends in these holidays.
And in winter vacation, I want to sleep for a long time or play with and go to somewhere my friends.But, I’ll work for a long time in part-time job.
In New Year, some relatives will come to my house. After that, I’m going to enjoy bowling in midnight.
I think that these holidays might change. Because, now is increasing holidays, and it is many difference how to spend holidays than past holidays.
For example, Christmas day and New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day etc.
Japanese is easy to influencing by other countries.
I think that holiday will be more increasing. Because, there are some current trends, it will always be changing.
How do you think it?
